Christin began her training in ballet as a child and continued through with it as a career. She has had the opportunity to dance for and study from some of the best in the business including: Gretchen Ward-Warren, John Parks, Edward Villella, Svetlana Osiyeva, Jeanne Travers, and Diane McCarthy. She has continued her education in dance receiving her certificate in Simonson Technique, as well as her Zena Rommett Floor Barre Certificate. Most recently she completed her 200 RYT training in the styles of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. Christin opened Art In Motion in 2007 with the general rule that children/people learn better when supported in a challenging but loving, non-competitive environment. Since her opening in 2007 with 21 students, she has grown the business on that philosophy to upwards of 400 students. Christin prides herself and her business on being more than "just a dance school", but a place where people can feel, breathe, and have a safe, healthy environment to be themselves.
At Art In Motion, we emphasize proper development for students of all ages and levels. Through dance, students learn discipline, time management, acceptance, and collaboration while developing confidence. We build valuable life and vocational skills and embrace social responsibility through community outreach, as our students perform regularly for various charitable organizations.
